Asa Ige, born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, pursued a career in Floral Design as proprietor of Stamens & Pistils, a retail florist, in New York City for twelve years. Introduced New York City to exotic tropical cut flowers and foliage. Also instructed Advanced Flower Arrangement at Parsons School of Design in New York. Returned to Maui in 1994 and specialized in custom floral design for hotels, banquets, conventions, special events, weddings and receptions. In 1999, established the floral design studio Asa Flowers, focusing on custom designs for the unique needs of the visitor & wedding industry.
